I thought it would be fun to go through some of my favorite pieces of gear, accessories that I'd 100% recommend, and the bag I use to get it all everywhere!

LENSES + BODY

I use 2 Canon 5D Mark III's and a variety of lenses. The four I'm mentioning below are my absolute favorite though! From left to right, you'll see my Sigma 35mm 1.4 ART, Canon 70-200 2.8 L IS, 5 D Mark III, Canon 16-35 2.8L, Sigma 85 1.4 ART. For shoots with humans in them I pretty much always have my 35 and 85 on my cameras, occasionally switching my 85 for my 70-200. For landscapes, I heavily rotate between my 16-35 when I want wide and big, or my 70-200 when I want heavy compression.

ACCESSORIES

When it comes to accessories, I have things that I use for landscape and some things that I use for shoots.

For landscapes, my MUST HAVE accessories are a tripod, ND filter, and remote control. My tripod is the Manfrotto MKBFRA4-BH BeFree Compact Aluminum Travel Tripod Black and I'm OBSESSED with it. It's meant for travel so its only 4lbs, super easy to use, and holds my camera even with a 70-200 on it. For ND filters, I use the Breakthrough Photography 77mm X4 6-Stop ND Filter, and I have step down ring for when I use it on smaller lenses! My remote shutter release is the VILTROX JY-710-C3 Wireless Camera Timer Remote Control, and so far I really like it! I had to watch a video to figure out all the settings, but now that I have it down, I love it to stabilize landscape shots and take self timer photos when I'm traveling solo, cause #instagram.

For weddings, I have two must haves! The Gary Fong Lightsphere Collapsible with Speed Mount and the Holdfast Moneymaker Camera Swag! The Gary Fong diffuser is literally a lifesaver - it balances light so well, and reduces the harshness ten fold. The Camera swag is another lifesaver. It allows me to have both cameras on my body, so I can shoot with a 35 and an 85 at the same time, but also balances out the weight so I feel 5% less dead at the end of a wedding day ;)

The last few things I'll share are accessories I use for everything! Obviously you need memory cards, but I just got this new SD card holder and I'm digging it. Its hard shell and I believe waterproof? Never testing that theory. But it holds + organizes a good amount of cards. As for cards, I prefer to have a variety of 32 and 64 gb of the SanDisk Extreme 90 Mb/s cards.

For harddrives, I love Western Digital My Passports. I currently use the 4 TB ones!

My favorite thing EVER is this backpack. The Lowepro Fastpack BP 250 AW II. It carries my iPad, 15 inch laptop, has a rain shell, the bottom is a gear carrier, the top is open with lots of compartments, it was a SD holder, other pockets, tripod spot, waterbottle spot. It's literally perfect, I bring it everywhere, and I can fit SO much in it. GET IT.

So there ya have it! All of my favorite gear + accessories. When traveling I try to keep it as simple as possible, and everything has to fit in that backpack ^, so the less gear head I get, the better off we are ;) Let me know your favorite piece of gear below, or any questions you have!
