When Britt & Brady first reached out, they were so excited to plan an elopement day in Alaska. Little did they know, that soon they’d have a plus one coming along for the ride! These guys were still so keen to have the adventure elopement they’d dreamed of though, and they wanted to include their new baby in the fun. If you’re getting married after you’ve started a family, you can definitely still elope! Over the years, I’ve had a number of clients who’ve done this in their own way and it’s always just as special. Some choose to leave their little ones at home with family, reading letters from them and sharing video calls on the day. Otherwise choose to bring their kids along for the ride, like Britt & Brady. Get Help from Close Family or Friends
Probably the number one best thing to do if you want to Elope with Your Kids is to have some family or friends come along for the day so that they can help take care of your kids. This might not be as important if your kids are a little older and able to occupy themselves for a little while every now and then, but for babies and little kids, it’s definitely a good idea!
Britt & Brady invited a few close family members to share their Zion National Park Elopement with them, and they were more than happy to babysit while Britt & Brady had portraits taken.
Choose an Elopement Location Close to Home
When Britt & Brady first reached out, they were hoping to have an Alaska Elopement, but then she discovered she was pregnant! Instead of giving up on the idea of an adventure elopement altogether, this super sweet pair just looked for an option closer to home.
Zion National Park turned out to be the perfect option, with some easier hikes that you could hike with a baby. It was really a beautiful community effort, with Britt sometimes babywearing him for hikes and her & Brady’s family helping out often as well.
