Meet Your Elopement Photographer!
Traveler. Photographer. Hiker. Ocean lover. Mountain obsessed. Chocolate Lab Mom. Plant lover (or killer, oops). Elopement Photographer. Experience Chaser + Maker.
Why Iβm Here
I was on my first flight at a few weeks old, hopping around the country and seeing different places from as early as I can remember. Coming from an airline family (shoutout to Southwest!!), travel has always been something that feels like home (weird, I know). Add being apart of a family who prioritized time in the outdoors, and itβs safe to say that when Iβm traveling to new places, favorite places, or just spending time outside, thatβs when I feel like the best version of myself.
I used my travel benefits to explore as much of the globe as possible (while I had em!), and I still do the same (my travel list is reallllll long - anyone feel me?). When Iβm standing on top of a mountain marveling at the views around me, when Iβm standing in front of a roaring waterfall, when I travel to a new place and see something like an iceberg or glacier, or when I watch the sunset over the Oregon coast, Iβm thriving. And thatβs an empowering way to feel. Connecting with nature and the outdoors does that to us. A while back, I realized that photography allowed me to share those feelings with people who werenβt there, which was incredibly exciting, and pushed me into pursing landscape + travel photography. But then I had a thought. What if I DID bring other people thereβ¦
Iβll be honest with you. Iβve never been one to obsess over weddings. I donβt find much excitement in centerpieces or color schemes. I was never even one to dream about my own wedding.
But there are plenty of things I have obsessed over. Iβve obsessed over incredible mountain peaks, cheap flights, and awaiting adventure. Iβve obsessed over having experiences, whether they be once in a lifetime, or as simple as enjoying a bonfire, and better yet - sharing that with others. Iβm obsessed with watching couples take back the power over their wedding days, being true to what brings them happiness, and for making the most important day of their lives a celebration that is a true reflection of them. And I have a feeling that you might feel the same way.
Some couples just donβt want a traditional wedding experience. And if thatβs you, Iβm here to tell you that thatβs OKAY. In fact, itβs mega exciting that youβre aware of that + searching out something different! Iβm here to guide you in realizing what IS the perfect wedding day for you, make that dream come to life, and create images that tell the story of your day. Images that will take you back to your experience and your feelings every time you look at them, and encourage you to pursue adventure for the rest of your lives.
I Believeβ¦
in big adventures + big DREAMS
in the power of travel
that the best place to be is surrounded by fresh air
in experiences over things
in living your truth, so that others are inspired to do the same
that the moments when you feel most alive are when youβre doing the things you love, with the people you love, in the places you love
that your wedding day should unique to you, reflect you, and be about you
that your wedding day should be limitless
in the power of elopements
Hi! Iβm Nicole!
At this point, youβve heard me talk about travel, so shockerβ¦ thatβs a big part of my world! I've explored 6 continents, 35 countries, and about 40 states - many of which solo. The more I hop around the globe, the more my list grows. My current bucket list location? Antarctica!
I equally love the outdoors. Mountains, oceans, sunsets, sunrises, big ol' pine tree's and secluded wilderness that makes you feel like you're the only person in the world. That's probably why I love plants so much! I love bringing an element of the outside world into my inside world - although I'm still working on my green thumb...
Iβm a serial hobbyist. I play lots of tennis + pickleball, Iβm a watercolor feen, I turned my basement into a pottery studio and love to throw pots, Iβve played Irish fiddle since I was a wee little one, and I LOVE a good backgammon game. Or really any game for that matter!
I'm an extroverted introvert. I love people, but I thrive off of alone time. I've found that a good balance keeps me at peace.
Iβm a chocolate lab mom to my 10 year old Sophie! My pride and joy. My angel!
Lastly, is photography! I've had a camera in my hand through my whole life - spending my birthday money as a kid on disposable cameras until I got a little digital one for Christmas when I was 9 years old. I took photography classes through high school and college, and it finally came full circle, 'cause now I have lots of them!
