Wedding at Little Hunters Beach in Acadia National Park
Some wedding days feel like pure magic from the very first moment—and Maya and Peter’s wedding at Little Hunter’s Beach in Acadia was absolutely one of them. These two brought together everything they love most: comfort, nature, and time spent with the people who matter most. The result? An intentional celebration that fit them perfectly from start to finish.
Getting Ready before Little Hunters Beach Wedding
Maya and Peter started their wedding morning the best way possible - slowly, together, and in matching puffin pajamas their friend had handmade for them!! Their Airbnb felt peaceful and relaxed as they sat at the table reading letters from loved ones, laughing together, and helping each other get ready. It was such a beautiful reminder that your wedding morning doesn’t have to be rushed!
They did a first look in the backyard, where Peter had the absolute BEST reaction to his stunning bride!! Once we were all set, we headed into the park for the rest of the day!
Private Vows Along Ocean Path
Before meeting their family, Maya and Peter wanted a moment just for themselves. We walked along the coastline off Ocean Path until we found a quiet spot with waves crashing against the rocks. They shared private vows and a few minutes to enjoy the view with each other before heading to their wedding ceremony at Little Hunters Beach.
Wedding Ceremony at Little Hunter’s Beach
From there, we met their family at Little Hunter’s Beach, one of Acadia’s beautiful beaches and the perfect backdrop for an intimate wedding ceremony. The sound of smooth cobblestones shifting under the tide created the most serene soundtrack as Maya and Peter exchanged vows once more, this time with their family watching.
Little Hunter’s Beach is such a special place for a ceremony. Tucked away from the busier sections of the park, it gives couples a chance to feel like they’re in their own peaceful world, surrounded by rugged coastline and forest.
You do need a permit to get married here if you have over 10 guests, but it’s a wonderful spot for your ceremony if you’re looking for a little bit of coastline and towering pines!
Golden Hour on the Mountain
After hugs, family photos, and some time spent soaking in the celebration, the three of us headed up to a mountain overlook for sunset portraits—and this is where the magic really took over.
The sun dipped low, turning the sky gold. Maya’s dress glowed in the light, her veil catching the breeze and floating behind her. The early pops of fall color dotted the mountainsides, creating the dreamiest backdrop. We wandered around the summit, taking our time and letting them settle into that just-married feeling. It was relaxed, joyful, and such a beautiful way to end their Acadia wedding day.
A Truly Wonderful Acadia Wedding Day
From puffin pajamas and private vows to a heartfelt ceremony at Little Hunter’s Beach and a glowing sunset on the mountain, Maya and Peter’s wedding day was everything Acadia does best: peaceful, wild, authentic, and full of meaning.
