There’s something magical about traveling to a place you’ve never been, and it’s the cherry on top when you get to have something extra happen there - such as a proposal, or engagement photos! Liz and Colin, an adventurous and down-to-earth couple from Chicago, decided to do just that, flying across the country to explore Washington and have their engagement photos taken amidst the breathtaking landscapes of Mt. Baker!
Their session at Artist Point was nothing short of spectacular. Nestled in the North Cascades, this iconic spot boasts panoramic views of rugged peaks, alpine meadows, and glaciers that feel like stepping into another world. Liz and Colin’s call Chicago home, but their hearts have always been drawn to nature. When planning their engagement session, they wanted a location that reflected their shared sense of curiosity and wonder. They had been to Seattle for a quick trip and were inspired by seeing Mt. Rainier from afar, which made them want to travel back to see some new areas of Washington to celebrate their engagement! I recommended Mt. Baker’s Artist Point as the ideal choice—a place where they could immerse themselves in the beauty of the outdoors but also easy, accessible views so that we didn’t have to hike in deep for incredible scenery.
