Spring Micro Wedding in Acadia National Park
Elyse and Brandon’s spring micro wedding in Acadia National Park was an amazing example of how full, stress free and full an all day micro wedding in Acadia can be. Fom private vows on the cliffs to lobster rolls for lunch, a boat tour on Frenchman Bay, and ending with a mountain sunset, this was a classic spring wedding in Acadia!
Getting Ready at Salt Cottages
We started the morning at Salt Cottages, a colorful and modern coastal retreat just outside Bar Harbor. These cottages were just recently renovated and turned out so well! Elyse and Brandon got ready in separate cottages, along with their family members joining in for the fun. The light-filled spaces made the perfect backdrop for their getting ready photos before heading into the park! Elyse also had so many fun details that made for stunning detail images.
A First Look at Schooner Head
Our first stop in Acadia was at Schooner Head, the start of some of the park’s most iconic stretches of rugged shoreline. With waves crashing below, Elyse and Brandon had their first look. A few tears were shed and it was the best reaction for Brandon seeing how stunning Elyse was!
Micro Wedding Ceremony at Otter Point
After the first look, we continued along Ocean Path to a more secluded spot where Elyse and Brandon exchanged their private vows. From there, we made our way to Otter Point, where their closest family members gathered for their ceremony. Acadia in spring is stunning, with vibrant greens, blooming wildflowers and without the crowds of summer yet. This proved to be incredibly true on Elyse + Brandons wedding day.

Lobster Lunch at Beal’s Lobster Pier
After the ceremony, everyone headed to Beal’s Lobster Pier, a quintessential Maine experience and a personal favorite of mine! The family celebrated over lobster rolls and fresh seafood right on the water!
Sailing with Sail Acadia
The adventure didn’t stop there. Elyse and Brandon treated their family to a private sailing tour with Sail Acadia, where we spent two hours exploring the surrounding waters. As we sailed, we learned about the area’s geology, wildlife, and history while spotting seabirds, seals and coastal views. It was such a unique way to celebrate their wedding day together!
Micro Wedding Portraits
To wrap up their spring micro wedding in Acadia, Elyse and Brandon and I set out for a short hike up Beech Mountain. As the sun dipped low over the mountains and lakes of the park, we grabbed some sunset portraits and it was the perfect way to wrap their adventure filled day!
